Your first week as a Model
From verification to the first payout: what actually happens in your first week as a Model on NaughtyBounty, step by step.
Most texts about getting started sound as if earning money on day one happens by itself. It does not. But it is not a mountain either, just a handful of steps you do once.
Here is what actually comes up in the first week, in the order that makes sense.
Day one: verify
The first step is verification with ID and a selfie. Without it nothing goes online, and with it everything is unlocked.
The ID goes to us, not to Users. It exists so it is clear that real people over 18 work here. It appears nowhere publicly, and your real name is at no point anywhere on your profile.
While you are at it: set your stage name. That is what you appear under everywhere.
Day one to two: the profile
Your profile is your shopfront, and it works while you sleep. Banner, avatar and a bio that makes clear in two seconds what you stand for.
More important than the bio is the portfolio. Take your strongest photos and clips, not everything you have ever made. A few genuinely good pieces do more than a lot of average ones. If you work in a particular way, for instance without showing your face, show that here, then the question never comes up later.
You can add social links, but you do not have to. You get found without them, because your profile runs in the directory, on the homepage and in the Fresh Talents row, where new Models get a spot of their own.
Day two: the billing profile
Sounds boring, but it belongs exactly here and not at the end. For payouts you need a complete billing profile.
Do it right at the start and it will not be in the way later when the first sale comes in. Put it off and you will be doing it at exactly the moment you actually want your money.
Day two to three: the first Drop
The fastest way to have anything on offer at all is your own Drop. A finished package of photos, video or audio that you put together once and then sell again and again. You do not need anyone to commission it first.
Two things about it: the cover decides almost everything in the overview, and from the first sale the Drop is locked and can only be withdrawn. So build it as a draft, look at it again the next day, then publish. More on that in Why your Drop is not selling.
Day three to five: the first applications
Now go through the open Challenges. Each one describes theme, format and scope upfront, so you see before applying what you are getting into.
Do not apply to everything. Three Challenges that genuinely suit you and that you deliver well do more than ten half-hearted applications. An application where it shows that you understood the idea stands out immediately.
If a User picks you, the exchange runs in the in-app chat. Then you deliver.
End of the week: the first payout
On a Challenge the budget is set aside before you start and is released into your wallet after delivery. If a User goes quiet after delivery, it is released automatically after a set period. Drop earnings become available after a short wait.
From the wallet you request the payout. Which is why the billing profile was on day two.
What comes after
Every euro you earn brings XP, and with each level your fee drops. That is the real reason sticking with it pays off: it does not just become more, proportionally more stays with you.
Otherwise: no minimum, no posting pressure, no week in which you have to deliver something. If nothing happens, nothing happens.
Up for it?
