NaughtyBounty and MYM compared
MYM alternative without a subscription: feed and subscribers against Drops and content on request. Comparison table covering payment, commissions and protection.
MYM comes from France and is well known enough there and across German-speaking countries that a lot of people name it as the first address. The model behind it is the classic one: a profile, a feed, subscribers, plus messages and tips.
NaughtyBounty is built around something different, namely the single thing instead of access to a person. What that means in practice is laid out here side by side.
The short version
| NaughtyBounty | MYM | |
|---|---|---|
| No running subscription | wallet, you pay per thing | access runs through a subscription |
| Grab something finished | Drops, one purchase and it is yours | single purchases in the feed and in chat |
| Content on request | Challenges as a built-in feature | worked out in chat |
| Money held until delivery | on Challenges, released after delivery | not needed, access is immediate |
| Paid work without subscribers | every Challenge is open to everyone | you need an audience first |
| The platform promotes your profile | directory, homepage and Fresh Talents | depends on visibility in your own feed |
| Models checked with ID | ID and selfie | yes |
| Everything you bought in one place | all of it in your Gallery | spread across feed and chats |
| Protection against re-uploads | the unwatermarked original is discarded | watermarks and takedowns |
| Ongoing commitment for Models | you post what you want | the feed has to keep running |
Two different core ideas
On MYM you subscribe to a profile and see whatever gets posted there from then on. On top come messages, single purchases and tips. That's a solid fit if you want to follow one particular person over a longer stretch and enjoy something new arriving regularly.
On NaughtyBounty you're not buying access, you're buying something concrete. Either a Drop, a finished package that's yours afterward. Or a Challenge, where you describe what you want to see and Models apply. There's no feed to subscribe to, because there's nothing to step into.
What that changes for Models
A feed demands a constant supply. Whoever subscribed expects something to arrive, and if nothing happens for two weeks, people cancel. That's not a criticism of MYM, it's the mechanics of any subscription: you're not selling a result, you're selling the expectation of the next one.
Then there's the start. A subscription only works once enough people know you, and where they're supposed to come from is rarely part of the offer on subscription platforms. You bring the reach yourself. Why that is is in Why You Stay Invisible on Big Platforms.
With us none of that hangs on anything. Every Challenge is open to every verified Model, regardless of how many follow them. You apply, deliver, get paid. And you sell your own Drops without a client, created once and sold again and again after that. Why that flips the order is in Building Reach: The Slowest Way to Get Paid.
You still get seen, without promoting yourself for it. Your profile runs in the directory, on the homepage and in the Fresh Talents row, where new Models get their own spot simply because they're new.
What that changes for Users
A subscription is convenient as long as you genuinely intend to stick around. You decide once and then don't have to think about every purchase. The catch is the same as with any subscription: it keeps running, including in the months when nothing showed up that grabbed you.
With us there's no recurring payment. You top up your Wallet and spend what you actually grab. Nothing runs in the background, nothing needs cancelling.
The second difference is direction. On a subscription platform you see what someone posts of their own accord. On a Challenge it's fixed upfront what it's about, and the price for it doesn't change afterward. How to describe something like that without a long back and forth is in How to write a Challenge that works.
What happens after you buy
With a subscription you get access immediately, there's nothing to wait for. With a Challenge there's time between payment and delivery, and that's exactly what we cover: the reward is held and only released once the work is delivered. With a Drop the question doesn't come up, it's with you right after purchase.
After that everything is in one place, privately in your Gallery, instead of scattered across a feed and chat threads. Before you buy you only see protected previews, watermarked and scaled down. Full quality comes after payment, and the unwatermarked original has already been discarded by then. If a re-upload shows up somewhere anyway, we take it down.
And where we're biased
We run one of the two platforms, and that belongs right here. What's in the table above you can check on both sides, and the points where MYM is stronger are in there too: lasting engagement, a feed that keeps running on its own, and a name people already know across French-speaking countries.
What we hold against that is doing without subscriptions and the chance to work paid from day one. Whether that's better depends on what you're looking for. The overview of all the models is in Content platforms compared.
Which one suits what
If you want to follow one particular person for months and the feed is the appeal for you, a subscription platform is the right call.
If you'd rather grab individual things you actually like, NaughtyBounty fits better. Finished and immediate as a Drop, or made only for you as a Challenge. Either way you pay once, and afterward it's yours. Sign up for free.
