How to Tell If a Profile Is Actually Real

Where generated images give themselves away
Not by six fingers anymore, that phase is over. What's left are consistency errors across multiple images.
Watch for small details that change between two shots even though they shouldn't: moles, tattoos, jewelry, the shape of an ear. Generated images are consistent within a single frame, rarely across a whole set.
Rooms are the second tell. Backgrounds often look too tidy, too neutral, too little lived-in. And text in the image, labels, packaging, displays, is still the weakest spot.
Motion is the third. A video is far more work to fake than a still image, especially if something specific needs to happen in it.
Where stolen photos give themselves away
A different case, but similar signs. Everything looks high-quality but inconsistent: different cameras, different photo styles, different rooms that don't fit together.
This usually comes with a very thin profile. Little text, no personal quirks, nothing that sounds like a real person talking about themselves.
Behavior gives more away than the images
The most reliable signal isn't the images anyway, it's what happens when you ask for something specific.
Dodging specific requests. Anyone who can only deliver what already exists gets vague at every specific ask. A particular outfit, a particular object in the shot, a particular sequence of events: a fake can't do that.

Urgency. Time pressure, special offer, today only. Anyone doing real work isn't in a hurry.
Paying a private individual upfront. The moment money bypasses the platform, there's no protection left and nobody who can step in.

Everything above is probability, not proof. Only one thing gives certainty: that someone was verified before they were ever allowed to offer anything.
