How to Create a Challenge

A complete walkthrough for creating your first challenge.

1. Navigate to Create Challenge

Click the Create Challenge button in the sidebar or navigate to /challenges/create. You need to be logged in and have funds in your wallet.

2. Choose a Content Type

Select the type of content you are looking for. This helps creators understand what kind of deliverable you expect.

3. Write a Clear Description

Describe what you want in detail. A good description includes:

  • What you want: Be specific about the content, style, and format.
  • Requirements: Any particular criteria the submission must meet.
  • What you don't want: Mention any dealbreakers or exclusions.
Clear, detailed descriptions attract better applications and reduce the need for revisions later.

4. Set Your Budget

Enter the reward amount for the challenge. This amount will be frozen (held in escrow) from your wallet when the challenge is created. The funds are only released to the creator after you approve the final delivery.

Make sure you have sufficient funds in your wallet before creating a challenge.

5. Review and Publish

Review all details carefully before publishing. Once published, your challenge will be visible to creators who can apply for it.

After publishing, you can manage your challenge from your Inbox.

6. Pick a Creator

Creators apply to your challenge. Review the applicants and choose the one you want. The moment you pick someone, the challenge is assigned to them and a private chat opens between the two of you. The other applicants are not chosen, but they stay available in case your pick drops out before the work starts.

7. Delivery and Review

The creator works on the challenge and submits the content. You then review it with a watermarked preview. You can approve it, which completes the challenge and releases the payout, or request a revision if it does not match your brief. If you do nothing within the review window, the challenge is approved automatically.

Cancelling

You can cancel a challenge while it is still open or assigned but not yet in progress. The budget is refunded in full and everyone involved is notified. Once the creator has started working, a cancellation is only possible through support.
